Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I think, the study will contribute to the reader of the journal. Also, I evaluate it as original research. The manuscript can be published.

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for your recognition of our manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

In present paper  "Characteristics and Its Controlling Role in Hydrocarbon Accumulation of Strike-slip Faults in Maigaiti Slope" I did not find scientific work.

This work is most likely part of the regional 3D seismic report.

From remarks to work.

There is no clear task statement in the work.

The methods that are used are not described.

There is no comparison with the works of competitors.

In conclusion, there are quite obvious statements for any geophysicist about the theoretical geological structure of traps.

In view of the above, I believe that this text should be strictly rejected.

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

On behalf of my co-authors, we thank you very much for your positive and constructive comments and suggestions on our manuscript.

We have studied the commernts carefully and have made recision which marked in red in this paper. We have tried our best to revise our manuscript according to the comments.

Reviewer 3 Report

1.Line 30, “Luosi2 gas reservoir” should be revised to “Luosi 2”. Please correct all along the text.

2.In line 31, the first letter of the word “carboniferous” should be capitalized.

3.What does “paleo-uplift/reservoir evolution” mean in Line 34?

4.Line 48, “2d seismic data” should be revised to “2D seismic data”.

5.2D seismic data and 3D seismic data should be specified in first occurrence.

6.Figure 1 lack the legend about lithology.

7.The location of figure 1b in the figure 1a is not accurate.

8.Figure 2 to figure 6 lack the legend which can indicate the character of the fault.

9.Add space in number and unit, such as line 201, line 203, line 208 and so on.

10.Lack of critical references about staged and segmental characteristics of strike-slip faults.

11.The introduction needs to be supplemented with more information related to strike-slip faults of previous studies in this area.
