“Tri-in-One” Accumulation Model of Lithologic Reservoirs in Continental Downfaulted Basins: A Case Study of the Lithologic Reservoir of Nantun Formation in Tanan Sag, Mongolia
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The study is devoted to the study of the physical structure of the oil reservoir. The work is relevant due to the proposal to the authors of a fundamentally new approach to the analysis of oil deposits. The study has a logical, but not complete structure (I will explain below). Graphic material is presented to a sufficient extent. The conclusions correspond to the tasks set.
Notes:
1. There is no prehistory of the study in the work. The authors very briefly explain the existence of other studies. The author needs to complete the "introduction" section completely. In this section, the author should analyze existing technical solutions. Analyze methods and algorithms on the research topic. The publishing house published the work https://doi.org/10.3390/informatics9030062. The work https://doi.org/10.1109/ElConRus54750.2022.9755601 is also very interesting in this regard. The author is encouraged to include it in his review.
Advice. There are excellent search engines mdpi.com and www.researchgate.net where you can find scientific review articles.
2. After the "Introduction" section, it is necessary to make a clear and precise statement of the problem.
3. Before the “Conclusions” section, you need to add a “Discussion” section in which to give a critical assessment of your research. Point out the positive and negative aspects of the study. And also show ways for further research. I also want to note that your research has a wide range of applications. I recommend that you read (and include in the review) the works doi:10.1109/ElConRus54750.2022.9755852.
4. The author is recommended to increase the list of references (by revising the review and adding a discussion section) to at least 40 items.
In general, I evaluate the work positively. However, the author needs to redo the literature review.
Author Response
1.I made a more detailed investigation and analysis of the previous research history proposed by the reviewer, and added the research stage and main development process in the updated "introduction" to further express the connection and difference between my research and the predecessorsï¼›The relevant literatures proposed by the reviewers for reference have been read through and added to the references, as shown in references 12 and 30ï¼›
2.The introduction has updated the relevant content, clearly pointed out the content and direction of previous research and the difference between my research, and further elaborated the necessity of my researchï¼›
3.The relevant "discussion" section has been added. After reading the excellent manuscripts published on the website, I have made a comparison and application, so as to make a detailed evaluation of the research content I have doneï¼›
4.The "Literature review" section has been updated and a lot of relevant literature has been read in the analysis process of "discussion", and the current number of references has been added to 53。
For the revised results of the above comments, you can directly read the new version of the paper for review

This paper is focused on accumulation model and lithologic reservoir formation in continental fault basin A case study of the Lithologic Reservoir of Nantun Formation in Tanan Sag, Mongolia. I found it interesting and suggest the following reivisions:
(1) Please cite more papers within recent 5 years in the introduction part.
(2) Figure 3: please mark the meaning of different colors.
(3) Figure 7: a scale bar is needed.
(4) Figure 10: there is a red underline under mD, please delete it.
(5) In the conclusion, please firstly summarize the key innovation point and workflow.
Author Response
1.The relevant content of the "Introduction" section has been updated and the citations have been updatedï¼›
2.Legend has been used to annotateï¼›
3.The scale has been added according to the drawing situationï¼›
4.Deleted underlineï¼›
5.The "conclusion" has been updated, and the research process and innovation points are first described
The above changes can be reviewed in a new version of the article

Author Response
1.Title has been updatedï¼›
2.The "Abstract" has been updated and the literature review part has been redoneï¼›
3.I have updated the quoted literature in the "introduction" part, further expounded the main research content of this paper, compared it with previous research directions and achievements, and further expounded why I want to do this research and the problems that can be solved by this researchï¼›
4.The corresponding control factor table of oil and gas reservoir is compiled and its influence is analyzedï¼›
5.Improved picture sharpness and changed the text inside the pictureï¼›
6.Changed description
7.Reservoir formation model analysis is mainly based on seismic sedimentology to determine the development characteristics of strata and faults, and on this basis, through the analysis of lithology, sedimentary facies and sand body distribution characteristics, the model map is drawnï¼›
8.The data described in "3.3-3.4" in the document can be queried through the annex, and the data and analysis are issued by domestic authoritiesï¼›
