2018 February - 20 articles

Cover Story: This article provides an overview of neutron imaging at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE). Using new instruments that exploit LANSCE’ very broad range of neutron energies, and the neutron-energy-selection provided by short-pulsed spallation neutron sources, we have made advances in elemental and isotopic imaging using nuclear resonances, and in high-energy neutron imaging of dense thick objects. Examples of neutron imaging with thermal and resonance neutrons, high-energy neutrons and cold neutrons ranging from nuclear fuel pellets to fossils and living plants are given. View this paper
