Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is an excellent survey of 360° panorama virtual tours of heritage assets. It appears as belonging to a research thread by (at least) one of the authors: systematically and thoroughly survey, analyse and review different sectors of virtual presentations of cultural heritage. It is a very useful work as reference for research and for pratical applications. In the present contribution the survey is completed by the description of a workflow to produce a visualization system, resulting from the comparative anlysis of software, methodology and existing implementations. In sum, this paper can be the starting point for application developers, a guide to good practice for similar work.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article presents a review of research on 360-degree panorama tours and of the available software solutions to create them, along with the development of a prototype for a heritage building.

The article is well set up and written, however, some analyzes are too little detailed; in particular, the choice of the software solution used for the prototype is not motivated in a clear enough way.

In addition, sometimes the references are cited with the name of the author(s) followed by the number (e.g., in line 50 or 105-106) some other are cited using the format [number] as the subject of the sentence (e.g., in line 96). Please, check and unify the style.
