The study of information, including the study of intelligence as its most comprehensive member, with its application to the economy and society are at the forefront of the advances in contemporary science and technology in the 21st century.
The International Summit on the Study of Information (ISSI), sponsored by the International Society of the Study of Information (IS4SI), is a biannual academic event. It consists of several coordinated and co-located conferences on the subject of information and includes plenary lectures, invited talks and presentations. The purpose of the summit is intended to discuss problems, share progress and exchange ideas about the recent developments and achievements in the research on information. The Summits reflect diverse perspectives and methodological frameworks of this research and aspire to foster cooperation, integration, and cross-fertilization in this domain of study.
For the 2023 Summit, “Paradigm Change in Artificial Intelligence” has been selected as the theme by the sponsor and organizer. There are five interrelated forums: Information Philosophy, Information Science, Information Technology, Information Economy and Information Society. Each forum will include invited speakers and submitted papers as follows: the Information Philosophy forum has six invited speakers and 54 submitted papers; the Information Science forum has six invited speakers and 14 submitted papers; the Information Technology forum has eight invited speakers and 19 submitted papers; the Information Economy forum has two invited speakers and one submitted paper; the Information Society forum has five invited speakers and six submitted papers.
A conference such as this could not succeed without the help of many individuals, who contributed their valuable time and expertise. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the Program Committee members and referees, who invested many hours that significantly improved the papers included in the program.
