10th Anniversary

The year 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Aerospace, a peer-reviewed open access journal on aeronautics and astronautics that is published monthly online by MDPI. With an Impact Factor of 2.1 and a CiteScore of 3.4, the journal is covered in SCIE (Web of Science), Scopus, Inspec, and other databases. The journal has published more than 3500 papers from more than 10000 authors. More than 4500 reviewers have reviewed the journal at least once. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.

In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.

Journal History


The inaugural issue was released. Aerospace was published as a quarterly journal.

 



Prof. Dr. Konstantinos Kontis was appointed as the founding Editor-in-Chief of Aerospace.

 



Aerospace was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).

Aerospace was indexed in INSPEC (IET) and EBSCO and Scopus (Elsevier).

Aerospace collaborated with The European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) and ECATS International Association.

Aerospace adopted a monthly publication schedule.

Aerospace was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).

Aerospace established the following sections:
-Aeronautics;
-Astronautics & Space Science;
-Air Traffic and Transportation.

The year 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of Aerospace.
