Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The development of the poultry industry is vital to mitigate poverty and improve the economy worldwide. The sustainability of the chicken production industry is, nevertheless, affected by a number of concerns. Among these threats is the emergence and re-emergence of avian diseases, which are a frequent occurrence and a significant source of worry for the industry. Examples of the most prevalent respiratory diseases include influenza viruses, Newcastle disease virus, coronaviruses, infectious laryngotracheitis, metapneumovirus, mycoplasma, E. coli, infectious coryza, fowl cholera, and aspergillosis. Additionally, the frequent emergence of new variants emphasizes the urgent need for better disease control and management. In this Special Issue, we will highlight the most recent advances in avian respiratory diseases, including the epidemiological situation, pathogenesis, host–virus interactions, and vaccines. Additionally, we expect that this Special Issue will explore innovative control and preventive strategies.
