Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

With the rapid development of intelligent vehicles, individuals are now becoming aware of the potential of connected and autonomous driving. However, simultaneously, ensuring that these vehicles are safe and effective, in order to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents, has become crucial to research in this domain. Compared to traditional human-driven vehicles, automated driving systems may pose new challenges to the existing road-traffic system; this not only includes the operational trade-off between human and systems, but also those related to the existing human-oriented road-traffic infrastructures and facilities.

This Special Issue aims to collect papers that reflect current research on all matters related to the topic of ‘Road Safety of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles’. We welcome your contributions to this Special Issue, and look forward to receiving your submissions presently.
