Topological Groups and Dynamics

Dear Colleagues,

The origin of topological groups dates back to Lie, Poincaré, Hilbert, Brower and Screier, who coined the term “Abstrakte kontinuierliche Gruppen”. Since then, the theory of topological groups has become a crossroads in several important areas of mathematics: algebra, topology, functional and harmonic analysis and topological dynamics, to name a few.

This Special Issue aims to collect high-quality research papers concerning all research lines where topological groups and the relation to topological dynamics (that is, dynamical systems of the form (G,X), where X is a topological space and the group G acts by homeomorphisms) have a relevant role. We welcome contributions that deal with recent developments in these areas.

Topics for this Special Issue include topological groups, Lie groups and Lie algebras, discrete subgroups of Lie groups, locally compact abelian groups (LCA groups), compact groups, locally compact groups and their algebras, transformation groups and semigroups, Lie transformation groups and holomorphic transformation groups, abstract harmonic analysis, quantum groups and enveloping algebras, Kac–Moody groups and algebras, topological and differentiable algebraic systems, topological dynamics and dynamical systems over complex numbers.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Axioms is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
