Young Investigator Award

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Batteries 2022 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Lin Ma.
Dr. Lin Ma is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), USA. Dr. Ma’s research interests are in materials science, electrochemical engineering, and rechargeable battery technology. Dr. Ma received his PhD in 2019 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 6 international patents. Dr. Ma’s Scopus Scientific Citations number is 3985, and his Hirsch index is 36. He has made several important findings in the design of new electrode and electrolyte materials used for battery production and in the development of novel methodologies used for battery performance analysis. He is clearly a rising star in the field of battery research. As a single applicant, Dr. Ma has more than 3 applications are at pending status(> USD1M, NSF, DOE). This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Lin Ma for his outstanding achievements.
As the awardee, Dr. Lin Ma will receive an honorarium of CHF 1000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before the end of 31 December 2023 in Batteries after peer review, and an electronic certificate.
