Biosensors was indexed in MEDLINE—National Library of Medicine (NLM), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).

2016

Biosensors was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).

First online Editorial Board meeting was held. 

Biosensors announced the first edition of the Travel Award.

2017 Biosensors received its first CiteScore of 2.83.
2019

Biosensors was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).

Biosensors received its CiteScore (2018) of 3.57, ranked 18/113 in “Clinical Biochemistry”.

2020

Biosensors received its first Impact Factor (2019) of 3.240.

Biosensors received a CiteScore (2019) of 4.4.

Biosensors adopted a monthly publication schedule.

The 1st International Electronic Conference on Biosensors, sponsored by Biosensors, was held on Sciforum.

Biosensors announced the first edition of the Young Investigator Award.

Biosensors established the following sections:
-Biosensor and Bioelectronic Devices;
-Nano- and Micro-Technologies in Biosensors;
-Biosensor Materials;
-Biosensors and Healthcare;
-Optical and Photonic Biosensors;
-Intelligent Biosensors and Bio-Signal Processing.

Biosensors received its Impact Factor (2020) of 5.519, ranked 15/83 (Q1) in “Chemistry, Analytical”, 8/64 (Q1) in “Instruments & Instrumentation”, and 42/107 (Q2) in “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”.

Biosensors received its CiteScore (2020) of 5.4, ranked 38/113 in “Clinical Biochemistry”. 

Biosensors announced the first edition of the Outstanding Reviewer Award.

Biosensors established the following section:
-Environmental Biosensors and Biosensing.

The year 2021 marked the 10th Anniversary of Biosensors.

2022

Biosensors received its Impact Factor (2021) of 5.743, ranked 14/87 (Q1) in “Chemistry, Analytical”, 8/64 (Q1) in “Instruments & Instrumentation”, and 52/109 (Q2) in “Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”.

Biosensors received its CiteScore (2021) of 5.6, ranked 38/113 in “Clinical Biochemistry”, 13/115 in “Engineering (miscellaneous)”, 20/136 in “Instrumentation”, 41/130 in “Analytical Chemistry”, 92/293 in “Biotechnology”, 87/252 in “Biomedical Engineering”, and 51/115 in “Clinical Biochemistry”.

Biosensors announced the eighth edition of the Travel Award, the second edition of the Outstanding Reviewer Award, the third edition of the Young Investigator Award, and the first edition of the Best Paper Award.
