Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Malignancies known as sinonasal cancers develop in the sinonasal area, which includes the paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity. Even though they comprise only 2% of all head and neck cancers, these malignancies can be difficult to treat and frequently necessitate a multidisciplinary approach. Recently, many improvements have been made in the treatment of sinonasal malignancies, especially in the development of novel strategies.

The introduction of minimally invasive surgical methods, such as endoscopic surgery, has been one of the most important developments. Moreover, more accurate and precise staging of sinonasal malignancies is now possible thanks to recent developments in diagnostic imaging, including computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This has allowed for more individualized treatment plans and better outcomes for patients, such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical methods, to enhance patient outcomes while reducing adverse effects. Furthermore, induction chemotherapy and immunotherapy strategies are being actively investigated for many sinonasal tumor types.

Exploring these developments and thoroughly discussing the most effective methods now being used to treat these tumors are the main goals of this Special Issue on innovative approaches in the management of sinonasal tumours. In order to encourage continued development in this area, the Special Issue welcomes original research articles and reviews.
