Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The field of image enhancement has undergone a significant transformation with the emergence of super-resolution technologies. While traditional methods have served us well, the ever-increasing demands of modern applications necessitate further advancements. The rapid pace of innovation in application environments and detection technologies drives the need for enhanced image enhancement techniques, particularly those offering a higher resolution to capture and distinguish the finest details. By addressing these challenges, SR technologies can unlock a new era of possibilities in numerous fields. In medical diagnostics, SR could enable the visualization of intricate cellular structures, leading to improved diagnoses. Material science stands to benefit from SR’s ability to facilitate the inspection of microscopic defects, enhancing quality control. Remote sensing could witness significant progress with SR technology, capturing clearer images of distant objects and facilitating improved environmental monitoring and resource exploration. Additionally, security applications can leverage SR to enhance image clarity for surveillance and threat detection.

This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge research exploring novel applications of super-resolution technologies in image enhancement. We invite leading researchers and developers from both academia and industry to submit their innovative findings that push the boundaries of this field. Submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process, ensuring the publication of high-quality research aligned with the core themes of this Special Issue.
