Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Approximately two billion people worldwide are either overweight or obese. The efficacy of treatment for these issues is limited, and the reduction in rates of obesity is of insufficient speed to meet Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 regarding improvements in health and well-being by 2030. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the issue of obesity and the effects will be more profound in years to come. Prevention of obesity should be given priority in public health agenda and online tools have been proven to amplify any preventative interventions.

This Special Issue will examine evidence for use of the internet in obesity prevention during the COVID-19 pandemic.
