Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to this Special Issue, entitled “Advancements in Biomaterials: Molecular Research and Medical Applications”, dedicated to exploring the cutting-edge developments in the design, synthesis, and application of biomaterials that are significantly impacting the fields of molecular biology and medicine.

In this Special Issue, we will feature articles that detail innovative approaches to biomaterials research, highlighting the synthesis of novel materials that can interact at the molecular level with biological systems. These biomaterials are designed for precision and functionality, aiming to enhance diagnostic techniques, drug delivery systems, and therapeutic strategies.

We will also delve into the practical applications of these biomaterials in medicine, including their role in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and targeted drug delivery. The contributors to this Special Issue, who are leading experts in their respective fields, will provide insights into how these materials are being developed and tested for safety and efficacy in clinical settings.

Moreover, this Special Issue will examine the challenges and future perspectives in biomaterials research, discussing the ethical considerations, regulatory hurdles, and the integration of technology in biomedicine. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview that encourages further research, collaboration, and innovation in the dynamic field of biomaterials.

We invite you to engage with the content of this Special Issue, which promises to enrich your knowledge and inspire future work in biomaterials research tailored towards molecular and medical applications. Your contributions and insights are invaluable as we navigate through the complexities and potentials of biomaterials science.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. International Journal of Molecular Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
