Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Since the birth of Louise Brown in 1978, assisted reproductive technology (ART) has been a mainstay of fertility treatment. Advances in various types of ART have brought the gospel to many infertile couples. In recent years, techniques for transplanting uterine or ovarian tissue have been developed, which are being positioned as an important new procedure for fertility preservation. Furthermore, regenerative medicine for the uterus or vagina and organoid research for female reproductive organs are also underway. In addition, ART is an essential technique for juvenile cancer survivors in order to preserve fertility, including women that have undergone radical trachelectomy for cervical cancer. Thus, the era of new ART has arrived; this technology will be indispensable in the future, bringing advantages to many infertile patients.
This Special Issue welcomes review and original research articles highlighting the recent ART advances in the field of reproductive medicine or gynecological oncology, with the aim of increasing our understanding and addressing future clinical challenges.
