Developing and Understanding Composite Materials for Use in Innovative Engineering Applications

Dear Colleagues,

The development and understanding of the use of composite materials in innovative applications is one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century.  The current advances in composites are opening up new areas of application never deemed possible before today. This special issue invites authors attending and presenting at the 10th International Conference of Materials Science and Engineering and those generally interested in contributing to this special issue of the Journal of Composites Science to showcase their work in composite materials and includes materials discovery, functional materials, medical materials, aerospace and space materials, nanostructured materials and their associated manufacturing processes, economics and applications in industry. Papers will also be published that follow the themes of the conference and those beyond the conference that will impact society and the environment.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Journal of Composites Science is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
