Personalized Medicine in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Dear Colleagues,

Gastroenterology and hepatology is a rapidly evolving field. It is also a field that will soon rely on precision medicine, given that every person’s diet and gut microbiome is different. In addition to this, metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease (MASH) is increasing worldwide and in the US, and several new and exciting drugs to treat it are being approved or being close to approval.

The upcoming years are going to be extremely exciting for research in this sphere. For this reason, we have proposed this Special Issue of the Journal of Personalized Medicine in order to collect papers about personalized medicine in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Studies may explore existing observational and descriptive analyses of conditions in gastroenterology and hepatology and new aspects of personalized medicine using basic science, clinical, and population-based approaches.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Journal of Personalized Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
