Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The early diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer have advanced significantly, revolutionizing the management of one of the most common malignancies among men. Today, cutting-edge diagnostic tools such as PET, multiparametric MRI, and fusion biopsy enable the identification of prostate tumors with greater precision and in earlier stages. These technologies allow for detailed disease mapping, improving risk stratification and facilitating a more personalized therapeutic approach.

Simultaneously, surgical innovations are redefining standards of care. With its millimeter-level precision, robotic surgery minimizes invasiveness and accelerates recovery times. Additionally, emerging technologies like holograms, 3D models, and their applications in the metaverse provide realistic and personalized simulations, transforming the planning and the execution of surgical interventions. These innovations enhance clinical outcomes and open new frontiers in specialist training and collaboration.

In this dynamic landscape, the importance of early diagnosis and targeted treatment has never been more critical, offering prostate cancer patients the best chances for recovery and quality of life. However, patients still face varying degrees of long-term complications, particularly incontinence and erectile dysfunction, which may require additional treatment.

In this Special Issue, we invite you to submit original works, reviews, meta-analyses, and interesting case series. Brief reports and methodological papers will also be considered. We particularly encourage interdisciplinary work and multi-country collaborative research.

We look forward to evaluating papers that focus on diagnosis, treatment, symptom management, complications, and quality of life in prostate cancer patients.
