16–19 February 2026 The New Cardiobiology: Engineering, Vascular, and Molecular Insights

EMBL Heidelberg and Virtual

Venue: EMBL Advanced Training Centre

This conference will take place at EMBL Heidelberg, with the option to attend virtually.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of human mortality, and despite an active research community many of the underlying mechanisms are unknown. Open questions surround molecular triggers, the relationship of GxE, impact of epigenetics, the role of sex, inflammation and microbiome, as well as metabolism and multi-organ links in cardiovascular disease. Advanced molecular and human-mimicking tissue engineering techniques are revolutionizing the way we approach cardiovascular discovery research. These developments led to the inaugural “The New Cardiobiology” meeting at EMBL in 2024.

In light of further technical advances in the field, the conference will repeat in 2026 and seek to unite speakers across cardiac and vascular biology, tissue engineering, and systems biology to continue the study of cardiovascular disease.

Session topics

  • Cardiovascular regeneration
  • Novel 3D multicellular systems
  • Cardiometabolic complications
  • Multi-organ disease
  • New translational breakthroughs

22–24 April 2026 Human Genome Meeting 2026 (HGM 2026)

Athens, Greece

We cordially invite you to the Human Genome Meeting 2026 (HGM 2026), which will be held in Athens, Greece, from 22 to 14 April 2026.

The Human Genome Meeting (HGM) is a series of annual conferences organized by the Human Genome Organization (HUGO). THE HGM started as a meeting dedicated to Human Genome Mapping. Over the years, with the completion of the Human Genome Project, the HGM has evolved from a small targeted meeting into a scientific conference for all genetic and genomic researchers; an excellent platform for industry partners and biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical giants; and a fantastic reunion setting for fellow scientists, providing networking opportunities for established and young investigators.

The theme of the HGM2026—“Bringing our Genomes to Medicine”—reflects the focus on various aspects of genome-stratified medicine and therapeutic interventions, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Pharmacogenomics;
  • Polypharmacy;
  • Population genomics
  • Large-scale sequencing projects
  • Clinical implementation of personalized medicine interventions
  • Genome informatics
  • Public health genomics
  • Ethics in genomicsm
  • Health economics

In addition, HGM 2026 will introduce educational workshops and sessions for students and early-career scientists, combined with opportunities to present their works, including mentoring sessions, combined with corporate lectures and workshops.
