Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Special Issue invites scholars in construction project management and engineering to share their novel and innovative research on meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
(1) The focus of this issue is the reporting of research that explicitly meets the United Nations SDGs. Research papers should present novel and innovative theoretical or conceptual approaches to the challenges of meeting these goals.
(2) Whilst presenting theories or frameworks not previously published, papers may also highlight new questions/issues (related to the UN SDGs) not previously raised in the literature.
Academic publications on sustainability often do not engage with sustainability issues in theoretical or conceptual ways that go beyond a singular project. This represents a missed opportunity for industry and academia that necessitates contributions to learning that transfer across projects.
This Special Issue invites contributions from construction researchers that engage with sustainability challenges from novel theoretical and conceptual perspectives. Papers can engage with construction sustainability challenges (i.e., people; processes; practices) from any phase of the construction project lifecycle. Additionally, papers that unlock under-studied topics related to construction sustainability that have been neglected in the academic literature are welcome. Such papers should also engage with sustainability by means of theoretical and conceptual approaches that are both novel and innovative whilst being appropriate and insightful.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
