Vaccine Advancement, Efficacy and Safety
A section of Vaccines (ISSN 2076-393X).
Section Information
Aims
The aim of the Section “Vaccine Advancement, Efficacy, and Safety” is to examine the methods and strategies of vaccine advancement, as well as the features and attributes of how vaccination protects people against infection, symptomatic illness, hospitalization, and mortality.
Scope
Vaccines are among the most effective, safe, and cost-effective health interventions. Vaccine advancements have focused on increasing vaccine immunogenicity, efficacy, effectiveness, safety, accessibility, acceptability, and efficiency. Articles addressing adjuvants that produce a robust and longer-lasting immune response to a vaccine, as well as vaccine optimization strategies that enhance efficacy and safety, are encouraged. Topics may include advancements in vaccine design and development against infectious diseases, cancer vaccines, and vaccines against other non-transmissible diseases. Advancements in vaccine efficiency can be demonstrated in economic and cost-effectiveness studies. Personalized vaccines can be developed against a specific individual's cancer. We invite submissions addressing preclinical and clinical studies, and encourage translational research that bridges experimental findings with human applications. We will consider original research articles, brief reports, reviews, and others relevant article types.
