Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become deeply embedded in the advertising industry, presenting both opportunities and challenges. Understanding this transformation requires mapping the dyad’s structure and identifying the conditions that shape its evolution. This study applies a scientometric framework, integrating bibliometric network analysis with statistical modeling, to examine AI advertising as a knowledge ecosystem. By analyzing patterns of collaboration, thematic convergence, and structural centrality, we interpret how scholarly networks generate, connect, and diffuse ideas in ways that influence both academic and industry practices. The findings reveal that the field’s growth is underpinned by interconnected clusters of expertise with strategic opportunities emerging from interdisciplinary integration and global collaboration. Simultaneously, consolidating influence among a few dominant actors raises questions about diversity, access, and the balance between innovation and ethical responsibility. Statistical analyses conducted in SPSS Statistics version 29.0.2.0 further identify the bibliometric and structural factors that most predict citation impact, strengthening the study’s contribution to understanding how influence is built and sustained in AI-driven advertising research. Artificial intelligence (AI) enhances anesthesiology by introducing adaptive systems that improve clinical precision, safety, and responsiveness. This review examines the integration of AI in anesthetic practice, with a focus on closed-loop systems that exemplify autonomous control. These platforms integrate continuous physiologic inputs, such as BIS, EEG, heart rate, and blood pressure, to titrate anesthetic agents in real time, providing more consistent and responsive management than manual methods. Predictive algorithms reduce intraoperative hypotension by up to 40%, and systems such as McSleepy demonstrate greater accuracy in maintaining anesthetic depth and shortening recovery times. In critical care, AI supports sedation management, reduces clinician cognitive load, and standardizes care delivery during high-acuity procedures. The review also addresses the ethical, legal, and logistical challenges to widespread adoption of AI. Key concerns include algorithmic bias, explainability, and accountability for machine-generated decisions and disparities in access due to infrastructure demands. Regulatory frameworks, such as HIPAA and GDPR, are discussed in the context of securing patient data and ensuring its ethical deployment. Additionally, AI may play a transformative role in global health through remote anesthesia delivery and telemonitoring, helping address anesthesiologist shortages in resource-limited settings. Ultimately, AI-guided closed-loop systems do not replace clinicians; instead, they extend their capacity to deliver safe, responsive, and personalized anesthesia. These technologies signal a shift toward robotic anesthesia, where machine autonomy complements human oversight. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) has revolutionised civil engineering, enhancing predictive accuracy, decision-making, and sustainability across domains such as structural health monitoring, geotechnical analysis, transportation systems, water management, and sustainable construction. This paper presents a detailed review of peer-reviewed publications from the past decade, employing bibliometric mapping and critical evaluation to analyse methodological advances, practical applications, and limitations. A novel taxonomy is introduced, classifying AI/ML approaches by civil engineering domain, learning paradigm, and adoption maturity to guide future development. Key applications include pavement condition assessment, slope stability prediction, traffic flow forecasting, smart water management, and flood forecasting, leveraging techniques such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Support Vector Machines (SVMs), and hybrid physics-informed neural networks (PINNs). The review highlights challenges, including limited high-quality datasets, absence of AI provisions in design codes, integration barriers with IoT-based infrastructure, and computational complexity. While explainable AI tools like SHAP and LIME improve interpretability, their practical feasibility in safety-critical contexts remains constrained. Ethical considerations, including bias in training datasets and regulatory compliance, are also addressed. Promising directions include federated learning for data privacy, transfer learning for data-scarce regions, digital twins, and adherence to FAIR data principles. This study underscores AI as a complementary tool, not a replacement, for traditional methods, fostering a data-driven, resilient, and sustainable built environment through interdisciplinary collaboration and transparent, explainable systems. Integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into STEM education enhances instructional quality and cultivates students’ interdisciplinary problem-solving. STEM teachers’ attitudes—driven by perceived ease of use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU)—are pivotal in ICT adoption, and pre-service training offers a vital opportunity to shape these attitudes. Yet, empirical studies investigating how specific training strategies influence ICT attitudes via PEOU and PU remain scarce. Using a mixed-methods approach combining questionnaires and interviews, the results indicate that pre-service training significantly improved STEM teachers’ attitudes toward ICT-enhanced teaching. Socially interactive strategies (role models and collaboration) enhanced attitudes via PEOU by boosting confidence and reducing technology-related anxiety, cognitive design strategies (reflection and instructional design) operated through PU by emphasizing ICT’s pedagogical value, and experiential feedback strategies (authentic experience and feedback) influenced attitudes through both PEOU and PU, fostering integrated technical and pedagogical development. These findings support an integrated SQD–TAM framework and provide practical guidance for designing pre-service STEM teacher programs to promote sustained ICT adoption in China, and meanwhile highlights the importance of strategically sequencing training to cultivate both technological competence and pedagogical insight among future STEM educators. Background: University students are particularly vulnerable to psychological distress due to the transitional nature of this life phase and increasing academic, social, and financial pressures. Accumulating evidence indicates that lifestyle behaviors—especially nutrition and physical activity—play a critical role in shaping mental health, cognitive functioning, and overall well-being in this population. Methods: The objective of this scoping review was to systematically map the literature on the combined impacts of diet and physical activity on psychological well-being among university students. Following PRISMA-ScR guidelines, an initial search of three major databases (PubMed, Sciencedirect, and Wiley) yielded 718 articles. After a multi-stage screening process, 39 articles of various designs (including cross-sectional, interventional, and review studies) focusing on non-clinical student populations were included. The studies were then thematically analyzed. Results: While most research explored isolated behaviors, a smaller set of integrated studies revealed synergistic effects, reporting enhanced outcomes in mental health and quality of life. Notably, several articles proposed practical strategies—such as app-based tools, structured wellness initiatives, and interdisciplinary educational programs—as effective means to support healthier habits. Conclusions: The evidence strongly suggests that universities should prioritize holistic, multi-component wellness strategies over siloed, single-behavior initiatives. Developing integrated programs that combine nutritional education and physical activity support represents a practical and effective approach to enhance student well-being. Full article

Background: Chronic pain significantly impacts quality of life and may lead to physical and psychological dysfunction. Although various tools have been developed to assess pain-related conditions, many are composed of time-consuming multi-item questionnaires, limiting practicality in clinical settings. The Multidimensional Evaluation Scale for Patient Impression of Change (MPIC) was developed as a simple, retrospective tool to assess multiple domains targeted in interdisciplinary pain management. This study evaluated the reliability and validity of the Japanese MPIC in patients with chronic non-cancer pain. Methods: We recruited 101 participants from the Interdisciplinary Pain Center at Keio University Hospital between August 2022 and September 2024. Pretreatment measures included pain intensity, disability, catastrophizing, self-efficacy, psychological distress, and sleep quality. Baseline assessments encompassed pain intensity, disability, catastrophizing, self-efficacy, psychological distress, and sleep quality. Psychological distress was evaluated using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) for the initial cohort of 35 participants and the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K6) for the subsequent 66 participants. Following the intervention, participants completed the MPIC, in addition to reassessments of pain intensity, disability, catastrophizing, self-efficacy, psychological distress (HADS or K6), and sleep quality. Retesting the MPIC was performed in a small subgroup of 20 participants for test–retest reliability analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), average variance extracted (AVE), Pearson’s correlations with pain-related measures, Cronbach’s alpha, and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) were used to assess construct validity, convergent validity, criterion validity, internal consistency, and reliability. Results: CFA indicated marginal fit (CFI = 0.86, RMSEA = 0.23, SRMR = 0.06), with factor loadings from 0.49 to 0.91. AVE supported convergent validity (0.58). Internal consistency was excellent (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.93), and ICC was moderate (0.52). MPIC domains correlated significantly with changes in pain intensity, disability, catastrophizing, self-efficacy, sleep, and psychological distress (p < 0.05), supporting criterion validity. Conclusions: The Japanese MPIC provides preliminary evidence of validity and reliability, with acceptable internal consistency, marginal structural fit, and moderate test–retest reliability. These findings suggest that the MPIC may serve as a concise retrospective instrument for assessing multidimensional treatment outcomes within interdisciplinary pain management programs for chronic non-cancer pain. Despite the immense potential in environmental remediation, the translation of magnetic nanomaterials (MNMs) from laboratory innovations to practical, field-scale applications remains hindered by significant technical and environmental challenges. This is particularly evident in soil environments—which are inherently more complex than aquatic systems and have received comparatively less research attention. Beginning with an outline of the fundamental properties that make iron-based MNMs effective as adsorbents and catalysts for heavy metals and organic pollutants, this review systematically examines their core contaminant removal mechanisms. These include adsorption, catalytic degradation (e.g., via Fenton-like reactions), and magnetic recovery. However, the practical implementation of MNMs is constrained by several key limitations, such as particle agglomeration, oxidative instability, and reduced efficacy in multi-pollutant systems. More critically, major uncertainties persist regarding their long-term environmental fate and biocompatibility. In light of these challenges, we propose that future efforts should prioritize the rational design of stable, selective, and intelligent MNMs through advanced surface engineering and interdisciplinary collaboration. This study explores Eastern Orthodox aesthetics through a parallax lens, situating it at the intersection of theology, anthropology, and cultural practice to move beyond the icon-centric discourse. It examines how Orthodox aesthetics, rooted in the theological vision of beauty as divine disclosure, manifests in liturgical ethos, material culture, and secular artistic expression. The analysis draws on Christos Yannaras’ ethos of liturgical art, Chrysostomos Stamoulis’ exercise in philokalic aesthetics, and Timothy Carroll’s ethnographic material ecology of Orthodox Christianity, revealing beauty as an ontological event of communion and transformation. A parallax shift to Dionysis Savvopoulos’ lyrics uncovers an aesthetic eschatology, or an aesthetics of eschatology, where Orthodox themes of resurrection and festivity permeate non-ecclesial Greek culture. Employing a comparative, interdisciplinary methodology, the study integrates theological reflection, ethnographic insights, and cultural analysis. It concludes that Orthodox aesthetics is a dynamic field where beauty, truth, and eschatological hope converge, extending beyond the sanctuary into everyday practices and popular art—“incarnated” in material reality. This transdisciplinary approach reconfigures Orthodox aesthetics as a theological anthropology, offering fresh perspectives on its role in contemporary discourse and its diffusion into the public sphere, while advocating for material culture as a critical lens for future exploration. Environmental education plays a vital role in cultivating environmentally responsible citizens. Although teachers are central to environmental education, their pedagogical practices remain under-researched. Thus, this study targeted to systematically review empirical research on environmental education teaching practices to synthesize findings and identify gaps. 2273 papers between 2015 and 2024 from Teacher Reference Center, ERIC, and GreenFILE were filtered to cover studies focused on environmental education teaching practices by teachers under formal education. To interpret trends of discoveries, we propose an expanded Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge framework—TPAC+E—by incorporating environmental knowledge alongside existing dimensions. Majority of 111 peer-reviewed articles employed case study designs and interviews, with an increasing emphasis on digital technologies in the post-COVID era. Common teaching practices identified include cross-disciplinary integration, outdoor learning, participatory approaches, and the promotion of critical thinking and empathy. However, widespread reliance on textbooks and teacher-centered instruction persists. The review also highlights significant research gaps in primary education and in underrepresented regions such as the Global South and East Asia. We advocate for more interdisciplinary and context-specific approaches, along with enhanced support for teacher training and curriculum development. This review offers both practical and conceptual insights to advance equitable and effective environmental education worldwide. Full article

Background: Themanagement of occupational respiratory diseases (ORDs) requires a multidisciplinary approach, yet collaboration between pulmonologists and occupational physicians is often fragmented, potentially compromising patient outcomes. This study aimed to systematically compare the management strategies for ORDs between these two specialties in Italy to identify gaps and opportunities for integration. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a structured 12-item questionnaire distributed to board-certified pulmonologists and occupational physicians across Italy. The questionnaire assessed diagnostic pathways, therapeutic strategies, preventive measures, and patterns of interdisciplinary collaboration. A total of 102 specialists (51 pulmonologists and 51 occupational physicians) completed the survey. Comparative analyses were performed using Pearson’s χ2 tests. Results: Significant divergences in practice were identified. Pulmonologists primarily focused on clinical diagnosis, utilizing pulmonary function tests (34.3%) and imaging (11.8%), and favored pharmacotherapy (27.5%) as the first-line treatment, in alignment with clinical guidelines. Conversely, occupational physicians prioritized detailed occupational and exposure histories (15.7%) and preventive interventions aimed at exposure reduction (15.7%). While both groups acknowledged the importance of collaboration, a substantial number reported that it occurred only occasionally (17.6% of pulmonologists and 12.7% of occupational physicians), indicating a significant gap in integrated care. Shared barriers included poor patient adherence and limited access to advanced diagnostic tools. Conclusions: While sharing a common foundation in diagnostic and preventive principles, pulmonologists and occupational physicians in Italy operate with distinct, complementary approaches that remain insufficiently integrated. The observed fragmentation in diagnostic and therapeutic pathways underscores an urgent need for shared national guidelines, structured interdisciplinary training, and formalized communication protocols. Bridging this disciplinary divide is essential to delivering holistic care, optimizing worker health, and preserving work ability. Full article

The increasing intersection of psychotherapy, cognitive science, neuroscience, and systems engineering beckons us to rethink what it means to talk the language of the human mind in the clinical setting. This position paper proposes the idea of entangled autopoiesis, a metatheoretical paradigm that addresses the mind and therapy not as linear processes but as self-organizing, adaptive processes enfolded across neural, cognitive, relational, and cultural domains. Psychotherapy, from this viewpoint, is less a corrective technique and more a zone of systemic integration, wherein resilience and meaning are co-created in the interaction of embodied brains, lived stories, and relational fields. Neuroscience informs us about plasticity and regulation; cognitive science emphasizes the embodied and extended nature of cognition; and systems engineering sheds light on feedback, emergence, and adaptive dynamics. Artificial intelligence appears as a double presence: as a metaphor for complexity and as a practical tool able to chart patterns below human sensibility. By adopting a complexity-aware epistemology, we advocate a relocation in clinical thinking—one recognizing the psyche as an autopoietic network, entangled with culture and technology and able to renew itself in therapeutic encounters. The implications for clinical methodology, therapist training, and future interdisciplinary research are discussed. Full article

Recent research has redefined the relationship between religion and urban spaces, recognizing religion as a key factor in shaping both the material and immaterial fabric of cities. Moving beyond the notion of secularization, recent studies reveal how diverse religious traditions actively contribute to urban identity, cultural heritage, and public life. This article presents findings from the CHANGES survey conducted in Rome, which gathered data on individual well-being, cultural consumption, linguistic practices, and religious participation. Our contribution focuses on a specific section of the survey, addressing religious self-identification, religious diversity, the attendance of places of worship, and the relationship between religion and well-being in the city. The results highlight a complex mosaic of religious affiliations—where, despite Catholicism’s predominance, minority faiths play an increasingly significant role, as well as meanings associated with places of worship, and reveal subtle associations between religiosity and resilience. These insights emphasize the need for interdisciplinary approaches in urban cultural policy to enhance and promote a pluralistic heritage. Full article

Museums play a crucial role in sustainable urban regeneration by maintaining and promoting cultural identity, fostering education, enhancing economic growth, among other factors. The purpose of this study is to scrutinize the dynamic connection between the role of museums and the viable development of cities as well as the salience of this interdependence. Using a qualitative approach, case study and comparative analysis, we examine social, economic, cultural, technological, and environmental criteria as a framework, aiming to elucidate and highlight the significance of implementing cultural policies for the sustainable development of cities in contemporary globalized societies. The correlation under investigation is revealed by evaluating and comparing Athens and Singapore based on the landmark museum of each city. The main argument, derived from the analysis, is that traditional practices function as custodians of heritage, operating as interdisciplinary platforms that foster innovation, inclusivity, and cultural diplomacy. Despite differences in governance and orientation, both case studies reveal how tailored cultural policies can utilize the assets of each institution to support cohesive urban identities and foster cross-cultural engagement. The transition toward human-centered innovation models, as reflected in Industry 5.0 frameworks, calls for the integration of sustainability and digital ethics into higher education. Despite the growing international discourse, little is known about how systematically these dimensions are embedded in curricula in Central and Eastern Europe. This study addresses this gap by analyzing the extent to which Polish higher education institutions (HEIs) incorporate elements of sustainable development and digital ethics into their educational programs. Drawing on survey data from 187 Polish HEIs, we employed Cramér’s V and chi-square tests to explore bivariate associations, multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) to examine patterns among categorical variables, and ordinal logistic regression to identify key predictors of curricular integration. The results reveal that institutions offering Industry 5.0-oriented specializations and maintaining regular cooperation with enterprises are significantly more likely to achieve full integration of sustainability and ethics, whereas many others remain at a stage of only partial adoption. These findings underscore the uneven progress of curricular reforms and highlight the importance of institutional capacity and external partnerships. This study contributes to theory by extending institutional and resource-based perspectives to curriculum innovation, and it contributes to practice by recommending targeted accreditation standards, cross-sector partnerships, and interdisciplinary modules (e.g., “Artificial Intelligence and Society,” “Sustainable Technology Futures”) as concrete mechanisms for embedding ethical and sustainable innovation competencies in higher education. Introduction: Oral health problems are prevalent among people receiving palliative care, affecting their quality of life. However, little is known about dental practitioners’ perspectives in this setting. Thus, this study aimed to explore the perceptions of public dental practitioners regarding the provision of dental care for people who receive palliative care. Methods: An exploratory focus group with 21 public dental practitioners, with a mean of 8.24 years of experience, was conducted in a public oral health service in Sydney, Australia. The focus group was transcribed and analysed using thematic analysis. Results: Three themes were identified: (1) enhancing quality of life in palliative care through improved oral health; (2) navigating the systemic and practical challenges of palliative dental care; (3) competent, collaborative, and optimised: a palliative oral care model. Participants highlighted the importance of oral health to quality of life while receiving palliative care. Nevertheless, there were several systematic and practical challenges to delivering appropriate dental care, which included competing priorities among clients, disconnects and gaps in care coordination with palliative care providers, limited training, and adapting treatment planning during appointments. Participants highlighted the need for a new model of care in the future that improved dental practitioners’ competence through comprehensive palliative dental training, included protocols to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, and optimised dental treatment planning and appointment scheduling. Conclusions: Public dental practitioners in this study demonstrated positive attitudes, but systemic barriers and limited training restrict their care provision. A palliative oral health care model for this setting should include palliative dental training, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and optimise dental treatment planning. Full article
