2023 April - 62 articles

Cover Story: Although surgery represents the most potentially curative therapeutic option for patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), their five-year survival remains poor, ranging from 67% for those with T1N0 (IA) disease to 23% for those with T1-3N2 (IIIA). Immune checkpoint inhibitors have recently been found to be treatment options in the neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings, thus significantly improving patients’ prognosis. Like what has happened in the metastatic setting, their development has been shifted from immune checkpoint inhibitor monotherapy to concurrent chemo-immunotherapy. In the current review, we explore the results from clinical trials that have determined the introduction of immunotherapy in patients with early-stage NSCLC. View this paper
