Dear authors, 

consider the subject matter to be extremely interesting and topical and appreciate the interest shown in small farmers/farms. Below you will find my suggestions which I hope will help you.

1. An introductory (general) paragraph on cooperation (e.g. its importance in agriculture - just an example) would be useful. Also, no bibliographical references are inserted in the introduction.

2. In the case of literature, the citation of references is done according to IPM rules. This section should also be refreshed with newer references, especially as the subject is still highly debated.

3. Data source: what was the rationale for selecting these two provinces and not others? (For example, is this where most cooperatives in the country are found? Most farmers?) Why?

4. In section 3.2.1. Insert the bibliographical references on the methodology for classifying linkage patterns of interest. Personally, I am not familiar with this method of classification, but I do not deny its existence.

5. It is important to mention the underlying assumptions (section 4).

Thank you very much for putting forward such valuable suggestions for my paper. I think the suggestions are very reasonable, and they are indeed the deficiencies in my paper writing. I will polish my paper repeatedly according to the proposed amendments during this period of time, so as to improve the overall depth and academic research value of the paper.

In response to your comments, here is my response:

1. I will add an introduction to the collaboration and add a bibliography to the first part
2. I will update with updated references
3. The reason why these six provinces and the eastern, central, and western regions were selected is because these places have differences and representations in economic and agricultural types, so we selected these six provinces and divided them into eastern, central, and western regions
4. This is classified by scholars in this way, and I will add the bibliography of scholars of this classification
5. I will put forward the corresponding research hypothesis in front of the empirical research

In response to your comments, here is my response:

1. I will introduce the time, place and concept of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China, add some bibliographies to the introduction, and give the concept of small farmers and new farmers, introduce how new farmers enter the agricultural field, and the important role of cooperation
2. I will update the literature and put forward my own opinions on the literature
3. I will add and explain the data source in detail in the revised manuscript later
4. I will precede the empirical evidence with the corresponding research hypothesis

5.I will summarize the results before making theoretical and policy recommendations, and compare these results to prove the current research results based on the existing literature

6. I will correct typos in the text and edit in English as required by the journal
