Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Authors,

first of all, I would like to congratulate you for this very interesting article. Please find my recommendations below:

Some sections of the paper, especially the literature review and hypothesis development, are overly dense and could benefit from more concise language and clearer expression of key points to enhance readability.

The paper discusses findings in line with existing literature but lacks a thorough discussion on why some findings might contradict other studies or theoretical expectations. This could be explored further to provide a deeper understanding of the context-specific factors influencing sustainable lending in Indonesia.

While the managerial implications are useful, they are somewhat predictable. More innovative strategies or recommendations, especially concerning digital transformation and its impact on sustainable lending, could make the paper more impactful.

Maybe to conduct sub-group analyses to explore how different categories of banks might vary in their sustainable lending practices. Also sensitivity analyses could be useful to check the robustness of your findings. This could involve varying key parameters or assumptions in your SEM model.

Improve the clarity of your results with more detailed charts and tables that succinctly summarize your findings. Use visual aids to illustrate complex models and relationships.

You could also suggest specific areas for future research, such as the impact of digital transformation on sustainable lending practices or cross-country comparative studies to evaluate the transferability of your findings.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The paper studies an important question - the conditions of sustainable lending at state-owned conventional banks and analyze the influence of the value chain in in Indonesia. The topic is interesting. The data is impressive. My suggestions are:

1. The generalizability of the study. The data of the paper from Indonesia. This brings in the generalizability concern. Will the insights from this paper apply to other countries? For example, the developed countries such as United States and UK.

2. Common method bias. The paper does not address the concern of common method bias. The authors may consider adding statistical controls to address the concern.

Overall, this is an interesting paper. Good luck with the project.

I see that my recommendations were partially approved, but I understand that if authors do all these changes, it will be a completely new paper. Therefore I Recommend that the paper must be accepted in present form (after the changes).
