Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The review paper titled "Advances in Superplasticity from a Laboratory Curiosity to the Development of a Superplastic Forming Industry" reports the developments with an emphasis on the scientific principles behind the occurrence of superplastic flow. The introduction part shows an immature description of the history of development and advances in superplasticity. Also, all subheadings do not show consistency at all. I couldn't find what the author claimed in this review paper. Only a summary of the reported paper is not suitable for a broad readership. Therefore I would like to reconsider after a major revision.

1. Author needs an exact claim regarding what he/she would like to show.

2. Subheadings should be consistent with readable flows.

3. Old images should be redrawn and/or replaced.

4. Good classification makes good readability.

Reviewer 2 Report

The review paper provides a concise  review delivering valuable knowledge of the superplastic forming. It is recommended to be accepted as the current form.

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

The unfaithful revision was conducted by author. The author still don't understand what reviewer requests and didn't discuss about novelty itself.

1. Author need to describe why superplaticity can be observed in metalliic materials. (therfore, "2. flow process in superplasticity" is located at wrong places. --> author need to change their sequence of contents and/or change name of subheadings for broader readership.

2. from the subheading title; "3. The extension of superplastic flow to submicrometer grain size", nobody understand why grain size has to be big or small. Therefore, author need to carefully describe about Fig5 images.\

3. for Fig 12. why the plague is important to describe superplasticity itself? the author want to show off what he achieved? why?

it is scientific letter, not your name card.
