Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper is interesting application of the artificial inteligence applications for making possible contorolling robot movements in non regular surfaces. In general terms experiments made by the authors fulfill with the objective of the paper an make it suitable for publication with minor changes.

Some of my comments to improve this research are the following:

1. Some paragraphs in Section 2 are lacking of references making them difficult to read since it is hard to believe that all of them are original ideas. Add some references when possible.

2. Regarding the control design how dead-bands in motors can affect the performance of the entire system? and how the ANM deals with this difficulty?

3. What is the next? In conclusions must be necessary to provide one or two possible future works in this area to show some ways to improve this topic.

4. Please rewritte the title of the document with lowercase letters.

5. Figure 1 requires an improvement since names inside of it are not legible.

Two references were added into the first paragraph in section 2.1.

2. Regarding the control design how dead-bands in motors can affect the performance of the entire system? and how the ANM deals with this difficulty?

The author has not performed any experiment related to the issues of the dead-bands in motors.  However, it would be interesting to perform a systematic study along this line.  The author added a sentence regarding the future work of this issue to the very end of the Conclusion section.

3. What is the next? In conclusions must be necessary to provide one or two possible future works in this area to show some ways to improve this topic

The author put down two possible lines of future work.  One is to increase the difficulty of the task in environment and the other is to add the possibility of malfunction in motors.

4. Please rewrite the title of the document with lowercase letters

The title was corrected.

5. Figure 1 requires an improvement since names inside of it are not legible.

The author reworked the figure.

Reviewer 2 Report

Some figures are hard to read (e.g., Fig 1 and 2) and some missing axis labels and units. Most of the figures need to b reproduced to improve the readability of the paper, or the legend not identical (e.g., Fig 11).
The conclusion section is too long. Need to be re-edited to show the important findings only.

1.         The author reworked Figure 1 and added some explanations to the caption of Figure 2.

2.         In Figure 8, labels of x- and y-axis were added.

3.         The author reworked Figures 11 and 14, including adding some explanations to the caption of these two figures.

The conclusion section is too long. Need to be re-edited to show the important findings only.

4.         The author reworked the section and added two sentences regarding future work.
