This manuscript treats about an experimental study on the straw flexible space assembly flood control system. The work is not novelty nor interesting for the scientific community. Other issues are indicated below.
- In the introduction section it is necessary to highlight the interesting of this work to the scientific community. The comparison with other published material is appropriate but it is necessary to highlight the contribution of the present work.
- The references are appropriate but some of them are not appropriately referenced. Review the sentence “Error reference source not found” that appears many times along the text.
- Please, increment the text size of Fig. 1, it is too small.
- Please, indicate what are E and nu in Table 1.
- Line 174, change “the” to “The”.
- Provide more details about the ABAQUS simulation such as the mesh and numerical data.
- In lines 16 and 311 the authors write “ABAQUS”, but in line 218 “Abaqus”. Please uniformize.
- Review line 295 “Table compares”. Which table?
- Regarding the discussion and conclusions section, they are appropriately written and I do not have any comment about these parts.
- Review the references section according to the rules of the editorial.

- In line 336, Figure 14 is correct.
- For a paper in this level I prefer to see a Discussion section and in this part authors should validate and confirm their result.
- Some references have different styles please check them based on journal style.
