3. Introduction is written nicely but lack the proper justification of present work and why the particular research was undertaken should be explained clear. Whereas Introduction is bit lengthy the common information of freezing should be removed.

4. Section“2.3.2 Authors should elaborate the colour analysis process. Why did not the authors is using chroma and hue angle ? add more information on this process with clarification. 5. Line “ As shown in Figure 2, when increasing the ultrasound power level from 0 to 50W, the freezing time decreased by 23.2%. Increasing the ultrasound power to 100W, the freezing time was only reduced by 7.8% compared to the freezing time at 50W, 15.5% smaller  than the increase from 0W to 50W.” does not give complete information about the results? elaborate it.

6. Line “The nucleation temperature is the lowest supercooling temperature in the cooling  phase and is lower than 00C. At this temperature, the water in the material has not yet crystallized but remains in the liquid phase. The nucleation temperature of water in materials cannot be predicted, but it depends on each material because the materials have different structure and water bonding in each material.” needs improvement. Firstly the general information needs justification from previous literatures with two -three evidence. Add the justification.

7. Figure in manuscripts are very good and clear, please explain the differences between the  micrographs of e-f and g-h in Figure 10.

The  author has stated in line 392-397 “ Unlike many previous studies, which mainly studied freezing materials embedded  in liquid refrigerants, this study provides quantitative research results on the effects of  ultrasound irradiation in the non-contact freezing process. with the material transmitter  in the air  medium.  At  the  same  time,  the  research  results  have  important  implications  in    choosing  the ultrasound parameters to support the water crystallization phase in the  material as well as promote the water escape from the material at the sublimation drying  stage of the process. freeze drying process at vacuum pressure.” Author needs to reframe it or explain it very carefully as author has reflected many times in manuscripts previous studies, therefore please add that studies here

Applsci-2108625 Experimental study of the Effect of Ultrasound on the Freezing Process of Bo Chinh Ginseng

This manuscript is very interesting and contains several important experimental results and evidences valid for practice. Main idea is “ultrasound application can help during ginseng freezing before its freeze drying by shortening the freezing time.

 I have only minor comments given in the following list.

 General comment: reference numbers in the text should be ordered as used. Current manuscript version skips: see e.g. line 62 - There is reference [4] and line 76 there are references 2,3 etc..

 Detailed comments

-          Line 86 input gap between word „ultrasound“ „intensity“.

-          Line 93 there is missing gap between words “ultrasound” and “supports”.

-          The same problem can be seen on line 119 “ultrasound” gap “that”

-          Line 130 chapter 2 should has the title Material and Methods.

-          Lines 134-135 input there that Ginseng “root” was sliced.

-          Lines160-162 describe Temperature measurement. I cannot see the type of sensors (Pt100 or optical or thermocouples?).

-          Lines 171-172 SEM microscope needs, as I know, gold plated the dried samples. How it was done in this case?

-          Figure 8 there is missing legend fairly explaining data.

-          Line 289 There is missing gap between words „ultrasound“ and „application“.

-          Line 297 what does it mean exactly “irradiation temperature?

-          Lines 305-310 are using terms “irradiation temperature” and “nucleation temperature”. I can hardly understand that sentences having no explain what it means the “irradiation temperature”.

-          Lines 318-322 who and how predicted these times?

-          Lines 328-329 contain sentence: “Some studies on the effect of transmitting rate interruption on freezing time [3, 5 18, 328 19, 22]. “ I do not understand this sentence because the verb is missing.  I can propose e.g. “Some studies presented on the effect of transmitting rate interruption on freezing time [3, 5 18, 328 19, 22].”

-          Line 352 Figure number 10 is incorrect. It should be 11. This photos need true and visible legend.

-          Lines 374-375 I recommend to modify sentence as “Research results show that ultrasound irradiation have a positive effect on the freezing process of ginseng materials.”

-    Reference 1 has no doi code. It can be easy find using google: https://doi.org/10.25073/2588-1132/vnumps.4322

-        Reference 4 has author names in front of family names! Reorder!

-       The same disorder present the references 8 and 10.

-       Line 423 author correct name is Barbosa-Canovas!

-       Reference 12 has no doi.
