Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors presented a Design and Feasibility Study of Novel Flying Wing Carrier System for Launching Small Satellites in Low Earth Orbit.

The paper is generally well prepared and can be accepted after minor revisions:

The main quantitative findings are to be mentioned in the abstract.

The introduction is relatively short and may be extended.

The novelty of the paper is to be clearly stated.

What is the interest of the presented Historical data Analysis?

Why is the reflected trailing edge not considered?

It is better to consider Fig.9 as Table.

For the numerical simulation:

-        The used assumptions are to be detailed

-        The dimensions of the computational domain are to be mentioned and justified.

-        A figure presenting the used mesh is to be added.

-        A grid sensitivity test is to be performed.

-        The boundary conditions are to be expressed mathematically

The paper is to be checked against misprints and grammatical mistakes

What is the propoesd algorithmic procedure of your research?

Conclusion should be written in more specific way

More recent references should be added

Some grammar error should be minimized

Reviewer 3 Report

The authors are suggested to following possible points:

  1. Discuss the benefits of low-orbit satellites: Explain why there has been a growth in demand for low-orbit satellites and the benefits they provide. This could include improved communication, remote sensing, scientific research, and more.

  2. Highlight the limitations of traditional launch systems: Discuss the drawbacks of traditional launch systems and why there is a need for more flexible and cost-effective alternatives. This could include the high cost, limited reusability, and long turnaround time associated with traditional rocket launches.

  3. Discuss the technical details of the proposed system: Provide more information on the technical aspects of the "carrier-launcher" system, including how the flying wing carrier functions and the specific components used in the launcher.

  4. Discuss the potential impact of the proposed system: Explain how the proposed system could address the limitations of traditional launch systems and provide a more cost-effective and efficient way to launch low-orbit satellites. This could include potential cost savings, increased accessibility, and other benefits.

  5. Provide more detail on the analysis conducted: Expand on the methods used to analyze the carrier's conceptual configuration, including the potential aerodynamic code and finite element analyses. This will help to demonstrate the rigor of the study and provide more information on how the proposed system was developed and evaluated.
