Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Sport is not merely a physical activity, it is deeply embedded in psychological motivations, social structures, and managerial practices. This Special Issue aims to bridge the fields of sport psychology, sociology, and management, exploring how psycho-social dynamics influence both individual behaviors and organizational strategies in sporting contexts.

Themes and Topics of Interest

We invite contributions that examine, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Psychological Dimensions: Motivation, resilience, goal setting, stress, emotional regulation, and mental health in athletes and sport managers.
  • Social Influences: Team cohesion, leadership styles, coach–athlete relationships, peer and family influences, and cultural and societal factors.
  • Management and Organizational Behavior: Strategic decision-making, crisis management, ethics and integrity in sports organizations, and change management.
  • Intersection of Psychological and Managerial Dynamics: How leadership approaches affect athlete well-being and performance, for example.
  • Technological and Media Impacts: Digital platforms, social media, and data analytics and their influence on behaviors, perceptions, and management in sport.
  • Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity: Psycho-social challenges faced by underrepresented groups in sport and how managerial policies can support inclusion.

Novel empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, systematic reviews, or high-quality methodological contributions are all welcome.
