Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Chronic-degenerative disorders have become a growing pandemic for older adults. Although today there is a greater comprehension of the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of these disorders, current therapies still have limited impact, and mortality remains too high. Thus, there is a keen interest in understanding the mechanisms behind chronic-degenerative disorders' pathogenesis providing the basis for identifying novel therapeutic targets and developing new treatments. This Special Issue's primary goal is to present the readers of IJMS with an update regarding the most advanced knowledge of how molecular factors are responsible for the onset and progression of these chronic disorders.
This Issue welcomes the submission of original articles and reviews focused on:
(1) Molecular mechanisms involved in chronic-degenerative disorders.
(2) Clinical evidence that links molecular mechanisms with the pathogenesis of chronic-degenerative disorders.
