Applications of Mathematical Modeling in Bioscience

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to extend an invitation to researchers and scholars to contribute to the upcoming Special Issue on "Applications of Mathematical Modeling in Bioscience". In this Special Issue, we aim to showcase cutting-edge research that combines mathematical modeling with innovative applications, with a particular emphasis on machine learning-based methods.

The integration of mathematical approaches, especially those rooted in machine learning, has become increasingly pivotal in addressing complex challenges in the field of biology. This Special Issue seeks original research articles that advance both methodological and applied aspects of mathematical biology, spanning a wide range of topics. Submissions are encouraged that explore areas such as biological modeling, computational biology, bioinformatics, and the application of machine learning techniques to biological data.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Mathematical modeling of biological processes;
• Computational approaches in systems biology;
• Bioinformatics and data-driven biology;
• Machine learning applications in biological research;
• Stochastic modeling in biological systems;
• Biostatistical analysis.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
