Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues

We are pleased to announce a new Special Issue of Medicina titled “Current Advances in Foot and Ankle Surgery”.

This Special Issue aims to bring together the latest research and innovations in the field of foot and ankle surgery, highlighting cutting-edge techniques, diagnostic advancements, and novel therapeutic approaches.

Foot and ankle diseases can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life, often leading to chronic pain and reduced functional ability. The field of foot and ankle surgery has seen remarkable advancements in recent years, driven by technological innovations and a deeper understanding of biomechanics and pathology. From minimally invasive surgical techniques to the development of advanced imaging modalities and biologic treatments, these advancements are transforming patient outcomes and setting new standards of care.

This Special Issue invites submissions on a wide range of topics regarding foot and ankle surgery, including, but not limited to, the latest surgical techniques, advancements in imaging and diagnostics, outcomes of innovative treatment modalities, and rehabilitation strategies.

We look forward to your valuable contributions. In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Medicina is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
