Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Semiconducting polymers have matured from a field of purely fundamental interest to real-life applications. While initially, electrochemical oxidations or chemical oxidations were often used, the synthesis of controlled polymer architectures is now dominated by controlled catalytical techniques.
This special issue is devoted to original research papers, and review articles on new developments in the following areas:
- CH-activation in the region regular polymerization of heterocycles
- Atypical cross-coupling reactions (reactions other than Suzuki, Stille, Negishi or Kumada cross-coupling reactions).
- Unusual monomers in catalyzed polymerization reactions: Higher main group element containing monomers, organometallic monomers, acyclic monomers.
- Tutorial review(s) on mechanistic insights, the interplay of monomers with catalysts, or catalyst selection.
- Controlled design of architectures other than linear polymers by judicious choice of a monomer / catalyst combination.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Catalysts is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
