Tropical Wood Dusts—Granulometry, Morfology and Ignition Temperature
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Please add the minimum ignition temperature defined for the dust without distribution into individual dimensional fractions. In my opinion, it will be a good addition to the results, increasing knowledge about the characteristics of wood dust from exotic species.
Please check units notations of density and fraction size. Often μ is missing in the notation and density unit have vorious notation in text.
L.168: Table 3 has no title.

Thank you for the helpful comments we have incorporated into the article. We believe that editing the article has made the article better. Sorry, we couldn't find more characteristics of wood dust from exotic species.
We added title of Table 3. Thanks
Reviewer 2 Report
First of all it should be pointed, that the article text must be reread and corrected because of numerous editorial, style and grammar errors. Sentences from template are mixed with original text. Often the language usage is not appropriate and requires reconsideration.
Suggested title change to: Tropical Wood Dusts – Granulometry, Morfology and Ignition Temperature
Introduction provides wide literature study, maybe even too wide – is not the wood (even if tropical) weathering too far from the dust investigation? Perhaps more tropical woods dust oriented introduction would be more fitting.
Methods chapter has some lack of information. For the dust preparation: was the sandpaper changed during sanding? Each species – new sanding disc? What was the pressure of the sanding?
Results, especially in the section of shape analysis, are based mainly on the literature and they require deeper analysis and discussion. What comes out from obtained photos? What are the differences between the species? Is there some correlation between shape and ignition temperature for instance?
Conclusions should be reconsidered according to the results rewritten.

Reviewer 3 Report
Dear Authors,
you manuscript is generally well done bu in my opinion requires some improvemwnts. Please consider as follow:
P1L12 provide English names of trees, also in tab. 2. and 3
Abstract there are too much detailed methodical data; the abstract deals only with granulometry, how about morphology and ignition?
Please consider extending of the introduction by data of various types of wood, including modified wood.
L178-9 ???
Context of many citations should be more precise. For example line 176 “The results of the sieve analysis should be presented in according to the [56] and [57]”. Perhaps it will be better as: “The results of the sieve analysis should be presented in according to the appropriate standards [56, 57]”.
The X axis in the figure 9 should be arranged in the same way as in fig 2. From 0 up.
Conclusions should be also related to the results of sieving and shape analysis.
The text should be generally carefully read for elimination of many faults.
