Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Title: A review of flow control for gust load alleviation

The authors present a novel review paper focusing on the more current state of the art regarding flow control on gust load alleviation.

The reviewer wants to state that realizes the importance of the review paper and the presentation of the relevant and recent literature is presented in a well-documented article. Perhaps, it should be given more conclusions or some references about the CFD approximations and wind tunnel test for a large-scale aircraft model.

Important conclusions also emerged from the analysis of the works.  In view of the remarks and corrections, I believe this manuscript is acceptable for publication.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper discusses about various flow control techniques applicable to aerodynamic load control generated due to gust and maneuvering. The performances of various mechanisms are outlined and compared. The manuscript is well-written however shallow in terms of wide spectrum of flow control. Hence, the authors of the manuscript require the suggestions (refer to the attachment) to be incorporated carefully before the revised manuscript would be acceptable to the journal.
