Cover Story: During the COVID-19 pandemic, China implemented various restrictions on movement, including closing public transportation in epidemic centers, blocking transportation in infected areas, and implementing concentration and home isolation to achieve the purpose of epidemic prevention and control. Rail transit, as a crucial public service, requires effective strategies to control the virus’ spread. This study suggested that employing a strategy that combined travel reservations and flow-control fences could improve travel efficiency and at the same time reduce the infection risk of passengers. View this paper
