Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The world is progressing towards electrification and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in an era of digital economy and artificial intelligence. The generation and utilization of energy, particularly renewable energy, entail electrification, such as electrified transportation, including electric vehicles, trains, ships, aircrafts, etc., which is vital for achieving the goal of net-zero emissions.

Professor C. C. Chan is a pioneer of electric vehicles and smart energy. He is the Founding & Rotating President of the World Electric Vehicle Association. He has made collective impacts and integrated contributions to research and development, policy, industry, markets, and finance, and the promotion of international collaboration for the advancement of science and technology. Consequently, he has been named Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering U.K., Honorary Fellow of Hungarian Academy of Engineering, Fellow of Ukraine Academy of Engineering Sciences, Founding Academician of World Digital Technology Academy, Fellow and Senior Advisor of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering, Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), and Honorary Fellow & Past President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He has also received numerous prestigious awards, including the Prince Philip Medal of the Royal Academy of Engineering U.K. and the Gold Bauhinia Star of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, among others.

To celebrate Professor Chan’s outstanding life achievements, we are organizing this Special Issue, titled “New Journey of Energy and Electric Vehicle Revolutions-Infinities Possibilities in the Science World”, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Energies is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
