Nutrients | Call for Special Issue Proposals for Section “Nutritional Immunology”
We are currently inviting Special Issue proposals for the Section "Nutritional Immunology". If you are an active researcher in the relevant field and are passionate about cutting-edge research, please do not hesitate to contact the Section Managing Editor Ms. Aria Chen ([email protected]).
Diet plays a role in almost every function in the body. Among other factors, diet is critical in maintaining optimal immune function. Extensive research has demonstrated the immunomodulatory properties of particular nutrients; however, in many cases, the mechanisms still remain unclear.
This Section invites authors to submit original research and review articles describing the impact and mechanisms underlying the relationship between nutrition and immunity. We are interested in articles describing this complex relationship in humans and also in animal models, either in health or during pathological processes, in which the dietary compounds may act by modulating immune response. Studies performed in appropriate in vitro approaches are also welcome. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Editorial Office ([email protected]).
