Effects of Dietary Protein Intake on Chronic Diseases

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a Special Issue of Nutrients titled "Effects of Dietary Protein Intake on Chronic Diseases". We invite researchers to submit original manuscripts on the role of dietary proteins in metabolic health across the lifespan, from development and aging to disease prevention and management.

Key topics include the regulatory mechanisms of food intake and energy metabolism, the impact of dietary proteins on appetite, eating behaviors, and skeletal muscle metabolism, the role of dietary proteins in metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, and the role of proteins in developmental programming. We welcome contributions utilizing innovative methodologies, from molecular and cellular studies to clinical trials and epidemiological research.

By compiling cutting-edge research, this Special Issue aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among nutritionists, endocrinologists, and physiologists. We invite you to contribute and help advance the science of dietary proteins in chronic disease management. Your work will shape the future of nutritional research and drive transformative discoveries for improved public health.

Benefits of Publishing in a Special Issue

  • Ease of navigation: Grouping papers by topic helps scholars navigate broad scope journals more efficiently.
  • Greater discoverability: Special Issues support the reach and impact of scientific research. Articles in Special Issues are more discoverable and cited more frequently.
  • Expansion of research network: Special Issues facilitate connections among authors, fostering scientific collaborations.
  • External promotion: Articles in Special Issues are often promoted through the journal's social media, increasing their visibility.
  • e-Book format: Special Issues with more than 10 articles can be published as dedicated e-books, ensuring wide and rapid dissemination.
