Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The scope of this Special Issue is to provide updated knowledge on animal parasitic diseases for scientists of veterinary and any other related fields. It aims to collect updated review and novel research papers on veterinary parasitology and parasitic diseases. All aspects of the interactions and effects of parasites to animal hosts/vectors, including epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic, control and treatment approaches, are invited to be included and presented to the readers of this issue, as different papers. This Special Issue seeks updated knowledge about the current situation of various parasitic diseases, particularly the emerging and re-emerging ones, within the frame of the global warming and the changing environmental conditions. Finally, the increasing development of resistant strains of parasites stresses the alarming need to reconsider the diagnostic methodologies and mostly the control strategies, both chemical and alternative.
