Advances in Parenteral Drug Delivery and Parenteral Formulations

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to present this Special Issue, entitled “Advances in Parenteral Drug Delivery and Parenteral Formulations,” which focuses on the latest innovations in parenteral drug delivery systems. This Special Issue brings together cutting-edge research that explores various advancements in injectable formulations, including long-acting injectables, implants, and nanoscale drug carriers. Parenteral drug delivery has become increasingly important for improving bioavailability and minimizing adverse effects, offering promising solutions for intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes of administration.

The Special Issue also emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of this field, with contributions from biology, chemistry, and engineering, addressing contemporary challenges in parenteral nutrition, formulation design, and delivery technologies. The selected publications demonstrate how these novel approaches can contribute to more precise, safe, and efficient drug delivery, thereby raising the standards of patient treatment worldwide. As the Guest Editor, I am confident that the content here will inspire both researchers and medical practitioners to implement new ideas into their daily work.

We hope this collection will inspire researchers and medical professionals to apply these innovative findings in clinical practice, advancing the field of parenteral drug delivery and contributing to safer, more effective therapeutic options worldwide. Our sincere thanks go to all the authors and reviewers who have contributed to this Special Issue.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Pharmaceutics is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2900 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
