Section Information

This section of Polymers (ISSN 2073-4360; CODEN: POLYCK) aims to rapidly publish contributions on all aspects of biomacromolecules, biobased and biodegradable polymers. We encourage the submission of manuscripts that provide novel and mechanistic insights that report significant advances in the field. Biobased and Biodegradable Polymers is a very important class of polymers of biological origin produced by living organisms and can be classified mainly into polyesters, polyamides, etc. Biobased and biodegradable polymers have attracted great interest in recent decades as alternatives to conventional fossil-based polymers from non-renewable resources. Biomacromolecules, biobased and biodegradable polymers have various applications in medicine, tissue engineering, the food and petroleum industry, paper and pulp industry, printing and textile industry, etc. Topics include but are not limited to:
