Cover Story: Helicobacter pylori infection, mainly by inducing hyperhomocysteinemia, appears to play an important role in the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and/or glaucoma, termed as “ocular Alzheimer’s disease”. Therefore, by controlling the impact of Helicobacter pylori-related hyperhomocysteinemia on neurodegenerative disorders might offer benefits; thus, further research is warranted to elucidate this crucial topic.
