Cover Story: The presented study is one of the few studies to focus on unconventional public health factors that have contributed to people’s non-compliance with preventive measures and disbelief in COVID-19 in conflict settings. After assessing compliance with the COVID-19 preventative measures in Yemen, the study investigated the role of the infodemic in non-compliance by using a mixed method approach comprising triangulating data from the COVID-19 Government Response Tracker and Google COVID-19 Community Mobility Reports, as well as in-depth interviews. The aim is to highlight the importance of establishing the basis for infodemic management in Yemen as a mainstream strategy for achieving resilience against misinformation and building trust in the government and health authorities. View this paper
