Special Issues (SIs) are collections of papers centered around a subject of special interest and are organized
and led by subject experts who take on the role of Guest Editor of the Special Issue. A Special Issue is not
an issue of the journal.
All submissions follow the same peer review process as regular papers and are published in the regular issues
of the journal when they are accepted, but are additionally labelled as belonging to a Special Issue and are
discoverable within the collection. Further information on MDPI's Special Issue policies and Guest Editor responsibilities
can be found
here.

The provided assistance by the responsible personnel of MDPI in the development of a Special Issue has been very efficient.
MDPI uses an excellent editorial system: easy to use and with good support.

It has been a pleasure working together with other Guest Editors and the staff of the section "Polymer Networks" of the journal Polymers to achieve a successful Special Issue. I appreciate the opportunity provided by the journal and the authors on behalf of myself and the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Mexico.

The presence of reference authors with discounts and free articles should be increased.
It demonstrates the professionalism of the editorial group when I observe professors who have already led more than 10-15 Special Issues.
